What is the next Vampire Chronicles movie they are planning to make?
So i hear that another one of anne rices "the vampire chronicles" are being made into a movie. I was just wondering what one of her books is being turned into the movie. Since they have already done Interview With the Vampire" and "The Queen of the Damned" i doubt they are doing either of those. I also dont think they are doing "The Vampire Lestat" because they have already made "The Queen of the Damned" which comes after that. I think, and hope, they are making "Tale of the Blood Thief" into a movie because it was an amazing book.
If you know which book they are turning into a movie or any other information on the upcoming movie please answer my question and ill love you forever.
From the news online, The Vampire Lestat seems to be the target for a new movie, as all the articles indicate that it will center on Lestat and how he became a vampire. We don’t get to see that in either Interview with the Vampire (which is, actually, Louis story) and The Queen of the Damned (the movie titled The Queen of the Damned was a travesti that spanned both The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned).
Robert Downey, Jr. has been rumored to be in talks for the role of Lestat.
There is nothing confirmed though.

she says "With regard to Christ the Lord, Out of Egypt and Christ the Lord, The Road to Cana, we have had interest from film makers, but have not yet concluded a deal for a film."
"With regard to the Vampire Chronicles, we have hopes for high quality films in the future, and as with so many of my books, my agents work constantly on possible film projects".
"With regard to Cry to Heaven, we have been in film negotiations twice, but the outcome did not result in a film. The most promising news on this book is that a Broadway Opera may go into production very soon. The music and lyrics are absolutely beautiful. And I hope this work will be staged in the next couple of years. "

I heard this on Kevin and Bean last week and also read it here: http://www.pinkisthenewblog.com/2009/08/ interview-with-the-vampire-getting-a-rem ake they’re planning to remake Interview with the vampire and they’re in negotiations to have Robert Downey Jr. play Lestat instead of Tom Cruise. They’re also saying that if the remake of Interview is a hit, they’ll make her other books into movies.

There’s nothing solid yet, but I will say that the rumor of Downey, Jr. playing Lestat is a false rumor. His publicist denied it last week.
